Raven was a wonderful Great Dane who lived to be over thirteen years old. During that time, she was a treasured member of our family. She was very protective and felt that home security was her job. She took over the living room sofa and made it her own giving new meaning to the term, “couch potato”. She enjoyed being with her family and knew the phrase, “let’s go get a nap”. Her favorite time of day!
During her prime, she loved to run. When let out of her kennel, she loved to dash around the driveway as fast as she could while kicking the dirt up behind her. She delighted in showing her humans how fast she could run.
No matter how stiff and sore she was as she aged, Raven always got up to greet us as we came in the door. She loved getting petted and getting her large ears twirled.
Raven was a credit to her breed and a valued relative who will be sorely missed. We are glad she is free of pain and infirmity now and is sprinting untamed in the next world.
